HEAD CHEF/KITCHEN MANAGER

Caistor Lakes is an Platinum award winning restaurant.

We are looking for a ambitious, passionate and driven Head Chef. Caistor Lakes is an busy restaurant / steakhouse which specializes in using fresh local produce. You will lead the kitchen team and ensure that our food maintains the highest quality. We hope you are ready to bring in some new and delicious changes to our kitchen and delight our guests!

Head Chef duties and responsibilities

  • Design menus that enhance customers’ culinary experience while keeping up high quality.

  • Submit cost proposals for menu items.

  • Provide feedback regarding the food quality of large bulk purchases.

  • Ensure that all food preparation is in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

  • Design standardized food presentation guidelines for each dish.

  • Monitor inventory levels of commonly used items.

  • Look for ways to reduce spoilage of infrequently used items.

  • Hire, train, and manage staff about proper kitchen sanitation methods.

Head Chef requirements

  • 2 year(s) experience as a Head Chef.

  • Ability to track expenses and manage a budget.

  • Ability to lead and inspire a team.

  • Strong passion for the art of food design.

  • Culinary Degree or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in restaurants seating over 200

  • Experience in over 2000 covers minimum.

Salary negotiable dependent upon experience.

May consider experienced sous chef looking for there first head chefs role.

Expected Start Date: immediate

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £30,000.00 per year

CHEF DE PARTIE

The Ugly Duckling Restaurant s is looking to add an experienced Chef de Partie to our multi award winning kitchen team.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following qualities:

  • Flexibility regarding working hours subject to the demands of the business

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Proven track record in a similar role or higher, handling large numbers of covers per shift

  • An ability to delegate appropriately

  • Immediate start

Rate of pay : Min wage

Part time with options to become full time

Rural location : own transport required

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £11.44 per hour
