New to Carp fishing?
Carp fishing has always been a popular form of angling but it's demand has increased rapidly since the onset of Covid-19. Could this be due to people looking for a new hobby? Branching out from match or pleasure fishing?
If you're new to carp fishing or looking to get started, we're here to help!

Essentials for carp fishing (for beginners):
Rods (2 rod set up) - all rods should be 12-13ft in length with a test curve of 2.75 to 3 pounds.
We'd recommend a Sonic Vader Carp Rod (12ft, 3 pound test curve)
Reel - We'd recommend a Shimano Bait Runner 6000
Rod rest or Rod pod
Bite Indicator (alarm)
Landing Net - We'd recommend the NGT 42" landing net
Unhooking mat or cradle - for gold standard fish care we'd recommend a cradle (or both)
Weigh Sling
Bivvy (unless you've booked yourself a luxury lodge with direct access to the fishing lake!), Sleeping bag, camping mat, warm clothing!
