RESTAURANT TEAM MEMBER

HOUSEKEEPER / PROFESSIONAL CLEANER

Part-Time, Mondays and Fridays 

An attractive salary will be offered to the right candidate.

Job role: cleaning the lodges on check-in/check out days, fill/empty hot tub, deep clean shower/toilets and reception once a week, complete the necessary paperwork - whilst adhering to Covid19 policy guidelines. 

We are looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude who is the ultimate team player with over 1 years' experience as a commercial cleaner. 

Knowledge of how COSHH should be handled and stored would also be an advantage.

BREAKFAST CHEF

As a breakfast chef you would be responsible to prepare and deliver breakfast service, providing a high standard of fresh food in a busy leisure park restaurant.

Responsibilities:

Cooking and managing breakfast service

Setting up and cleaning down the kitchen after breakfast

Ensure kitchen is kept clean and hygienic at all times - following EHO guidelines

Ensure all stocks are kept under optimum conditions

Oversee any and all early morning deliveries

Ensure any issues are communicated to the Head Chef

Attend any training/meetings, as and when required

Salary: depending on experience

SOUS CHEF

Caistor Lakes is a platinum award winning, exceptionally busy restaurant / steakhouse which specialises in using fresh locally sourced produce.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and hard working Sous Chef to join our busy kitchen team.

You will be working alongside the head chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staff, aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking. Providing meal quality and consistency by following designated recipes. An exceptional eye for detail is required.

Sous Chef Job Duties Include:

  • Leads kitchen team in chef's absence

  • Provides guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating

  • Oversees and organizes kitchen stock and ingredients

  • Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance

  • Keeps cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours

  • Hires and trains new kitchen employees to restaurant and kitchen standards

  • Manages food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and minimises waste, plus works with existing systems to improve waste reduction and manage budgetary concerns

  • Supervises all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards

  • Works with head chef to maintain kitchen organization, staff ability, and training opportunities

  • Verifies that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well-managed

  • Assists head chef with menu creation

  • Coordinates with restaurant management team on supply ordering, budget, and kitchen efficiency and staffing

Sous Chef Skills and Qualifications:

Formal Culinary Training, Previous Restaurant Experience, Extensive Food and Beverage Knowledge, Restaurant Industry Knowledge, Strong Organisational Skills, Attention to Detail, Knowledge of Restaurant Regulations, Leadership, Ability to Work Under Pressure, Self-Motivated, Creative Problem-Solving Skills, Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
